Middle School Activities
Bingo:

Students fill in their blank bingo card with the answers to 24 pre-determined (by the teacher) questions.  The teacher systematically calls out the questions, one at a time, allowing time for students to work each problem.  The first student to get 5 in a row, wins!

Building The Algebra:

With centimeter cubes, students begin "building algebra skills" and learning about the constant rate of change (slope), discussing independent and dependent variables, and finding the "rule" (or equation) for the linear function.

This activity builds algebra readiness in the middle school grades through an incremental approach, starting with a concrete, hands-on method.

6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Math Activities:
Spin The Wheel
Memory/Concentration
Relays
Connect Four

These activities are described in the Algebra and Geometry links, but are specifically formulated for the middle school math curriculum.
